ROBAE Aeswisp Light Sprite | Apparel as Self-Construction
Design philosophy of ROBAE Aeswisp Light Sprite Series 《Gray Butterfly》: natural romance meets workwear pragmatism. When the splendor of formal gowns blends with the comfort of everyday wear, clothing transcends its basic functions. The exaggerated waistline design reshapes not only body proportions but also the wearer’s contextual identity.

ROBAE Aeswisp Light Sprite series features naturally relaxed tailoring and the tactile quality of soft fabrics, responding precisely to this deep psychological need — clothing is more than exterior adornment; it is a vessel with which to construct oneself at any moment.
Aeswisp Gray Butterfly draws inspiration from bionic butterfly morphology to create experimental workwear in gown silhouette, reinforcing the structural skeleton of the garment. ROBAE transforms the design based on butterfly form and structure, extracting and distorting the silky texture of butterfly filaments and applying this texture to the overall garment aesthetic. The exaggerated flared waist (butterfly) design gives greater dimensionality to the bionic concept. Skin-friendly silky all-cotton satin mimics the lightness of butterfly wings, while the long floor-grazing deep V hem visually amplifies the structural skeleton effect, forming a gown silhouette with three-dimensional butterfly contours and distinct structural bone lines.
ROBAE Aeswisp is deployed independently as the garment’s central visual focal point. The gown breaks conventional formal dress rigidity and achieves balanced fusion of couture and everyday apparel. For color palette, the limited-edition Light Sprite adopts ash pink — bright yet retaining a sense of mystery — to unify the overall atmosphere. Workwear suspenders are combined with high-fashion cutting, crafting ROBAE’s unique experimental workwear style.
